Where do I park?
There’s parking out front of the Bunkhouse (although it can be busy), so best bet might be the pay and display public car park nearby. Just drive past the Bunkhouse (if it’s on your right), take the next road right, and you’ll see the car park right in front of you. If you’re coming from the other direction, take the road on your left just before the Bunkhouse. We also have a minibus, and can pick your group up from Bangor station, making travel arrangements easy. We can also arrange transportation to get you to your day’s activities.
Can I get online (Wifi)?
Yes – free wifi is available in all areas of the Bunkhouse, including public areas, all bunkrooms and kitchen/dining areas. Please ask Reception for the password.
Are there a lot of stairs?
All the Bunkhouse accommodation is upstairs, above the pub. We don’t have any lifts, and the stairway is quite narrow and has bends. (Please see our Accessibility Statement.)
Do you offer meals?
We don’t generally offer any in-house catering. However, the Llangollen Vaults pub is right next door, and offers great, locally sourced home-cooked meals. There’s also the popular Fitzpatrick Café, just up the road. Large groups can pre-order with us for wonderful, hot evening meals.
Sometimes, we offer a ‘Special’, such as a Welsh ‘lopscaws’ stew, using locally sourced ingredients, for large groups. Please check with us when booking.
What are your rates?
£25 per person per night. We offer good rates for larger groups. Please contact us to find out more.
Is it noisy?
Well, we suggest it’s not the best place for a tranquil peaceful weekend. We’ve got a busy pub downstairs, and it gets very lively on Fridays and Saturdays.
Do we have to book the entire Bunkhouse?
No, not at all. We welcome all size groups. Please note that under 16’s cannot stay downstairs in the pub in evening due to licensing regulations.
